Here at SchlickArt we approach wedding photography a little differently. On your wedding day, we do not constrain you to a number of hours. Because we charge one flat rate, we are all yours until your special day is complete — from the first sip of a mimosa to the last dance.
We also include video in our engagement sessions, complete with a couple’s interview, so you can tell the story of how you met, how you fell in love, and why you’ve chosen each other on this most important day. The video makes a heartfelt, and often emotional, addition to your reception festivities, inviting your guests to share in the beauty of your love story.

Meet Brian Schlick
With an eye for stunningly crisp visuals and a knack for piecing together compelling stories, Brian Schlick adds vision to narrative, and laughter to the everyday.
A NorCal boy with a love of beer, video and his wife, Brian Schlick finds fun and humor in every situation — even if he has to create it himself.
Before the Silicon Valley knew it was the Silicon Valley, it’s claim to fame was Brian Schlick, a sarcastic kid with a secret goofy side, or so he thought. Growing up, he loved the Giants and the Niners, chose potato chips over chocolate, and never minded his allergy to kiwis. Being raised by fun-loving parents taught Brian a deep-rooted sense of adventure, and soon he set out to see the world. California State University, Sacramento, was his first stop, where he earned a communications degree in digital video and set the stage for his career.
When he took a job as an onboard Princess Cruises videographer, one blonde with an accent quickly figured him out. No one else dared to call out Brian’s habit of sticking out his tongue when he concentrated on a shot — but Lindsay sure did. As the ship crew spent late nights enjoying drinks and camaraderie, Brian was getting closer to finding a wife who liked to laugh as much as Brian liked to provide sarcastic commentary under his breath. For 18 months, Brian and Lindsay saw each each for hours or days at a time as they juggled separate ship assignments, and after six weeks of uninterrupted time together in the summer of 2006, Brian knew it was Lindsay.
During that time, a chain of promotions had called Brian to Santa Clarita, where Princess Cruises is headquartered. He started as a video editor for onboard content and, over the course of 13 years, climbed the ladder to supervise Princess’ onboard video teams, managing 17 total ships. The vast exposure to crafting all different kinds of video content allowed Brian to hone his ability to tell stories through compelling, engaging visuals.
Today, Brian’s secret goofy side is no longer secret. As Brian and Lindsay build their life and business together, his steady support as a husband is only matched by his ability to craft ridiculous lyrics to songs nobody knew. His signature funny voices often lead to dancing in the kitchen, and the two are quite obviously a perfect match. Whether they are chasing Brian’s love of craft beer — not just IPAs, but all of it — with trips to picturesque breweries, or watching gangster films and all things Quentin Tarantino, you can be sure that you’ll never find Brian with a Bud Light in his hand.
Meet Lindsay Schlick
From her romantic, natural-light style of portraiture to the way she seeks good food, good people and meaningful experiences at every turn, Lindsay is in love with the beauty of a life lived well.
A Northern English lass who grew into a world-travelling creative, Lindsay Schlick sees the everyday beauty of life and love — and she’s determined to help you see it, too.
As a kid, Lindsay grew up in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire, and quickly became the creative soul among a family of accountants. By age 15, she knew she wanted to pursue photography, and she chose her first big adventure: photography school. Lindsay’s insatiable love for learning ensured she would get the most from her education and continue to grow with each client, and each new experience.
By the time she landed a job as a photographer aboard Princess Cruises, her next big adventure found her: videographer and sarcastic softie Brian Schlick. The photographer-videographer duo met in Ketchikan, Alaska, and tied the knot on the open sea in Mexico. They didn’t know it then, as they sipped gin and craft beer from coast to coast, but the beginning of SchlickArt was slowly making its way into Lindsay’s heart.
With the mind of a businesswoman and the heart of an adventurer, Lindsay began to conceive a different kind of photography business. In her vision, stepping in front of the camera could be an empowering experience that gave her clients more than just a photograph — it would give people a new way of seeing themselves. With an eye for seeing the beauty in life and in others, Lindsay could use the camera to spread beauty.
Today, you can find Lindsay in her studio, laughing at everything — even when it’s not funny or completely inappropriate. Warding off stale smiles with her surprising brand of silliness, not even Lindsay knows what she’s going to say next. After the last photo is edited, Lindsay spends her evenings “researching” gin on their balcony, among a wicked succulent garden and a Santa Clarita sunset that never fails. On the weekends, you can find her supporting local charities and educating Americans about the difference between true Shepherd’s Pies and their beef-based imposters. And at the end of every day, Lindsay is just a woman of simple pleasures, genuine connections, adventures near and far, and the drive to make a difference in the lives of real, regular people.
